Ozone Therapy as Medicine of 21st Century

Dear Colleagues!
We are pleased to present you ozone therapy as a modern high-effective medical technology of using medical ozone for therapeutic and preventive purposes.

Having been known in the West for over 100 years, ozone therapy has become of age in Russia thanks to fundamental and applied studies started in Russia about 40 years ago and unique technical inventions made by the physicists of the Russian Federal Nuclear Center last decade of the 20th century.

Nowadays, ozone therapy represents a genuine alternative to orthodox medicine, particularly in medical conditions where orthodox medicine does not offer an effective treatment. Ozone therapy is characterized by broad spectrum of non-specific action in numerous, widely spread diseases such as atherosclerosis, ischemic heart disease, hypertensive disease, diseases of airways, of digestion system, dermato-venereal, surgical, obstetric-gynecological, neurological pathologies, infectious diseases etc.

The gathered experience allows making a conclusion that ozone therapy is characterized by simplicity of application, good tolerance by patients, absence of side-effects or adverse reactions and high medical-social and economic efficiency.

Ozone therapy has an extremely wide range of action, produces a powerful bactericidal, virucidal, fungicidal, immunomodulating, antihypoxic, detoxification action, is good tolerated by patients and does cause practically no side-effects. The use of medical ozone reduces treatment time, lethality and grade of disability.
Owing to the powerful oxido-reduction potential of ozone,
the pathogenetic effect of ozone therapy develops through its double mechanism of action:
  • Local action
    Local action due to disinfection activity versus bacteria, viruses, fungi.
    1
  • Systemic metabolic action
    Systemic metabolic action resulted in the reactivation and restoration of the oxygen homeostasis of the human body.

  • Ozone-oxygen gas irrigation of small body surfaces under "suction cup" in low-pressure conditions.
  • Subcutaneous injection of ozone-oxygen gas mixture (subcutaneous blisters).
  • Intravaginal continuous-flow insufflations of ozone-oxygen gas mixture.
  • Intravaginal continuous-flow instillation with ozonized water fine dispersions.
  • Intra-articular injection of ozone-oxygen gas mixture.

Mechanisms of Action
1. Bactericidal action
2. Viricidal action
3. Fungicidal action
4. Systemic reparative action on the homeostasis:
  • Improvement in the oxygen-transport properties of blood;
  • Activation of the pro- and antioxidant systems;
